Shimanto no Yado in Shimanto River Onsen is a very nice hotel located in a large park near the Shimanto River, offering four rooms with open-air baths and a fantastic location for enjoying countless stars in the night sky. The super clean rooms face the woods with plenty of privacy, featuring comfortable futons, well-regulated temperatures, and all necessary amenities including mini fridges and safety boxes. Guests particularly enjoy the excellent onsen facilities that include indoor hot pools (freshwater), an indoor cold plunge, an indoor semi-dry sauna, an indoor aromatic hot pool (with bark, tea, and herbs), and an outdoor warm natural pool with a deck showcasing beautiful forest scenery—all maintained by friendly, helpful staff with excellent English skills.
