Nanbu Yumori-no-yado Taikan in Tsunagi Onsen offers an absolutely spectacular hot spring experience where guests can enjoy a beautification dip in pure "kakenagashi" (never recycled) spring water, with all guest rooms at the Urara wing featuring private open-air onsen baths. The ryokan's bathing facilities are impressively expansive, with two indoor and two outdoor rotenburo baths offering clear, sulfur-rich waters and therapeutic water streams for back massage (tataki), complemented by magnificent views of Lake Gosho and surrounding gardens. Following a meticulous renovation, the Urara wing now provides the ultimate luxury experience with ceramic baths where hot spring water gushes directly from below, creating an incomparably fresh and smooth bathing experience that leaves skin noticeably smoother after each immersion.
