Miyakowasure in Kakunodate & Lake Tazawa Natsuse Onsen offers a secluded paradise experience with only 10 guest rooms situated in a remote mountain location, accessible via an unpaved road that serves as the only link to the outside world. Each room is equipped with an open-air onsen bath facing the Dakigaeri Valley, providing breathtaking views that create a magical setting, particularly from the private rotemburo which can be booked by all guests in 50-minute intervals during their stay. The ryokan excels in its culinary offerings, serving local Akita cuisine that focuses on simple preparation of local ingredients in the typical regional style without pretentiousness, resulting in superb, voluminous meals that satisfy even the most discerning palates.
