About

Ibusuki Hakusuikan in Ibusuki Onsen is a large-scale hot spring resort ryokan built along the ocean within an expansive garden of 1,000 pines, where guests can experience the globally rare natural volcanic sand hot spring known for its skin beautification properties. The main Genroku onsen is described as possibly "the biggest and best" with its Edo-like theme featuring at least five indoor baths connected by a bridge to the rotenburo with three additional outdoor baths, two saunas, and numerous wash stations that can accommodate up to 100 people without feeling crowded. Beyond the exceptional bathing facilities, the traditional Japanese architecture creates a beautiful maze-like hotel to explore, complete with a museum, sea view rooms with extraordinary vistas, and excellent dining options including seasonal kaiseki meals where "we can feel the season through the ingredients" and even a seven-course Italian restaurant option in a gorgeous setting.
