Hotel Shigira Mirage in Miyako Island Onsen is an 11-story hotel that opened in April 2019 as the tallest hotel on the island, designed around the theme of "ocean, air, and land; harmony in moving scenery" with each guest room's balcony commanding a panoramic sea view. The spacious, well-maintained rooms are very clean, quiet, full of amenities including in-room washer/dryers, and comfortable for sleeping, with some featuring two large flat-screen TVs.
