About

Densho Sen-nen no Yado Sakan, a long-standing ryokan in Akiu Onsen—one of Japan's three oldest hot springs—offers a special stay experience at one of the most popular historical Japanese ryokans, which has even hosted G7 meetings twice. The property features five distinct onsens with different opening hours for men and women, including a ground floor bath with unique features like a standing bath and steam room with beautiful tiles and calming music, and an outdoor bath by the river that helps guests appreciate the history of onsen. Visitors consistently praise the brilliant staff, the fantastic food including kaiseki-style dinners and buffet breakfasts featuring local delicacies like sunndan dango, and the traditional Japanese ryokan ambience that creates a clean, well-organized, and thoroughly enjoyable atmosphere.
